We are just about done reading our novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Students are preparing to perform a play written by some classmates of the events in the story.
We are working on making change with coins.
Students priced out items and set up a mini shopping mall in our class. They spent time buying and selling and counting their profits. They were very excited to hand out receipts, change and learn about profit, refunds, re-stocking and how to boost sales as well.
We read and wrote about how children and parents live in the 4 countries. We compared economy, jobs and daily life.
Students spent time examining their learning from our Bow Habitat station field trip. They worked on fish drawings, adaptations and differences between fish within Alberta.
We added new observations of our teenage “fry” trout as they develop stripes and begin to grow shimmery scales.
