Marcus was an excellent star this week. He is very independent with his star responsibilities and we all appreciate his help.
We started our spring classroom bullentin board this week. Although it was difficult to think about spring with the snowy weather, we all worked very hard on this project. We decided to showcase what we are learning in math through art. Some of us showed our addition and subtraction skills with a caterpillar. Others used various shapes and number to make a ladybug. All students did a super job and we will show our parents our work at parent/teacher conferences next week.
On Thursday we began a new unit with our Occupational Therapist which is going to focus on community safety and awareness. We played a very fun Bingo game that had us matching important signs in our community. Some of these signs included Stop, Don't Cross, Walk and Danger. We will watch for these signs when we are on our walk in the community on Fridays.
Our space centres in the afternoon are coming to an end and we all learned so many interesting things about space. Please check out our Planets Song on IRIS by using our Student ID as the username and "cat" for our new students' password or "dog" for our older students' password. We are all very proud of this work.
Next week will be short but we look forward to having some Easter fun! See you then. : )
