Makaya did a super job being the Star Student this week. She always completes her jobs with a smile and truly enjoys being a leader within our class.
We had an amazing opportunity on Tuesday when Quest Theatre came back to our school to present "We Are All Treaty People" to us. The presentation was very engaging for all of our students and we learned a lot about our Indigenous people. At the end, we did a round dance with the entire school and the drumming and singing was great. What a fabulous experience for our entire school.
In math, some of us started learning about adding Canadian coins while others are working on creating various patterns. We all will be participating in purchasing items at the local grocery store with our Canadian coins on our Friday walks. What a wonderful way to practice our math skills in a real life setting.
Thursday was Aggie Days and what fun we had! We saw so many baby animals but the piglets were our favourite. We also watched Indigenous dancing, sheep shearing and a rodeo at lunch time. We even got to meet an author named Dawn Ius, who gave a signed copy of her book to each child. What a super day!
Next week, we will have Music Therapy on Monday and we are looking forward to seeing Kate once again.
