This week we have been talking a lot about our Folktales and have been practicing to present them in groups. On Monday we typed out our folktales and then assessed them. We then shared them with another group and received feedback from them on things they liked and things we could change.
On Tuesday we spent most of our day practicing with our groups and presenting our folktales. We practiced our folktales using our masks and created props to support our story. We also have another presentation from Kananaskis in the classroom! This time we learned about beavers and muskrats!
Wednesday, with the help of a wonderful volunteer, students filmed their folktales in front of a green screen. Students did a great job presenting their stories and using expression and lots of creativity!
As you know, tomorrow is our field trip. Please remember to send your child in the appropriate clothing as the weather is suppose to turn to snow tomorrow. We will be outside for a portion of the day so boots, snow pants and a warm jacket would be recommended. Thank you to everyone for bringing their forms back! We have them all! You are all amazing!
