Thanks to all who have volunteered for swimming over the last couple weeks. It's been a busy one! Just two more to go!
We have been learning about measurement, by going outside and estimating then measuring objects in the garden and playground.
We also started and completed our shape book about 2D and 3D shapes. Students have been drawing and writing about various shapes and where we see them in the environment.
We also completed a Shape Detective sheet last week, where students had to read some clues to figure out which shape was the chosen one. We have also been describing and sorting 2D and 3D shapes based on various attributes.
We continued to practice our adding skills with some scholastic math where students used various materials around the room in order to help them when adding big numbers.
This week we have started getting ready for our assembly. We have begun practicing our song and finished our poems. Our assembly is on Thursday June 14th at 1pm. All families are welcome!
Today we voted on a "party" that we wanted to have if we reach 800 points by June 20th. Students decided they would like to earn a PJ party complete with blankets, stuffies and snacks. If you would like to contribute to our party on June 21st (If they earn all their points!) please email me and let me know.
